3 soldiers’ lives claimed in terrorist attacks at J&K

A major blowout occurred to the Jammu and Kashmir army in the recent weeks at Shopian, where a slew of terrorists pounced on the army in the wee hours. Owing to this attack, not less than three lives were chased during the menace.

Pakistan-based terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen has claimed responsibility for this attack.

Firings ushered in two directions, thereby leaving no room for the soldiers to save their lives. These soldiers were on their way back in a convoy of seven army vehicles. The soldiers were returning back after having conducted regular anti-terror searches at a village in Matrigam.

Around 2:30 am, these soldiers were attacked by the terrorists who were equipped with powerful arms.

The terrorists were ultra shrewd and smart. Out of the four vehicles, the terrorists didn’t create any commotion until the first two vehicles had passed. They attacked the third and the fourth.

The terrorists ambushed the soldiers in their full senses and consciousness. This wasn’t a miss. Not only they managed to escape really smarty from the venue, they also proved that the army forces weren’t adequate to handle them, above anything else.

After creating commotion, there was continuous firing which went on for about an hour.

One soldier was killed at the moment. Some of them got injured, including two officers, who have been reported critical. To ensure speedy recovery and medication, they were flown to Srinagar.

Jana Began, a female who dwells in the vicinity was killed inside her home after a stray bullet hit her. “My mother was upstairs. I woke up after hearing shots and when I went to check on her, she was dead,” said the woman’s son.

The army said in a statement, “Such incidents have only strengthened our resolve to continue relentless operations against Pakistan-sponsored anti-nationals in the Kashmir Valley.”

As of now, extra forces have been deployed to search for the attackers who fled with utter smarts.
