The vegetable usually gets mingled in other green coloured veggies and can mistaken as round shaped lauki but containing the abundance of vitamin c, even more than oranges it gives you all possible excuses to add it up in your diet. Turnip

This sober vegetable is much more than you judge by its looks. You may need to infuse in some attempts to make it interesting enough to please you but nutritional value is worth the efforts made. For weight conscious people, this low calorie (70 calories per 250 gm) veggie can be a regular add up. It has right amounts of calcium, potassium, vitamins B, vitamin C, vitamin E, beta carotene, and anti-oxidants. It is also a source of improving lung cancer risks and colorectal cancer.
