Whether it’s sketching, painting, or random doodling, Microsoft Paint brings fond childhood memories back. We all have grown up spending a greater part of our school days with this software. Therefore, when the multi-billionaire Microsoft decided to remove MS Paint from the Microsoft Windows 10 family, the social networks were flooded with nostalgic posts yesterday. Yesterday, the company had released a list of apps and tools that won’t make it to the latest Microsoft Windows 10 update. Besides Paint, the company decided to shed Outlook Express, 3D Builder App, Reader app and Screen Saver Functionality in the Windows theme. Though, the developers assured that the list is subject to change and further modifications.

However, after the users wrecked havoc on the internet, the company will continue to include it in the new Windows, in a zombie-like state. It means that the app will remain in the Microsoft family without any active maintenance. The company succumbed to the users’ demands as Paint is self-contained and doesn’t impose any security risks to the OS.

The app will live on as Paint 3D, a modified version, for greater creativity. The new 3D MS Paint will include 2D and 3D image creating and editing tools for a unique look. Despite enhanced 3D capabilities, the app will derive traditional features from the old MS Paint, such as line and curve tool, photo edition and 2D drawing.
