Shammi Kapoor started his filmy career with movie Jeewan Jyoti. This movie was released in 1953. He also did films like Vidhaata (1982), Betaab (1983), Aur Pyar Ho Gaya (1996). He shot to fame with films like Tumsa Nahin Dekha (1957), Dil Deke Dekho (1959) and Junglee (1961). He made the last film appearance with his grandson Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Rockstar’. He passed away in year 2011.

He had a son Aditya Raj Kapoor and a daughter Kanchan.
Shammi Kapoor won his first Filmfare Best Actor for ‘Brahmachari’. Even he made appearances in TV shows like Shikast, Chattan and Main Anari Tu Anari. Shammi Kapoor entertained people for five decades.
