With an aim to strengthen its base in Tamil Nadu, BJP is eyeing the vacant position after the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalitha’s death and DMK chief, M Karunanidhi’s retirement from active politics.

“We have identified 120 constituencies in the state, where the party has improved its fortunes over the years. Full-time members have been deputed for the outreach program to strengthen our base,” BJP state president Tamilisai Soundararajan said.

On the back of facing defeat in the 2016 Assembly elections, the BJP President Amit Shah has weaved a strategic micro-management strategy.

Modi Govt. Vistarak Programme

For the purpose of operating Vistarak program at the BJP headquarters, over 10,000 office-bearers have been deployed to create awareness about the Modi’s government and its various achievements.  The bearers will also aim to increase their membership enrollments.

These office-bearers gather and discuss various political activities on a periodic basis. meetings are attended by state as well as mandal.

Part Prez Amit Shah to visit Tamil Nadu

Party President Amit Shah is also gearing up to visit Tamil Nadu on August 22 and 23. During his visit, Shah will meet OBC leaders.

According to sources, Shah aims at ensuring that Congress and ally DMK by strategizing plans to fill the vacancy caused by J Jayalalithaa’s demise.
