The show, ‘On Air with AIB’, is exclusively available on Star’s mobile app, hotstar. It’s a 20 episode show, divided in Hindi & English.
AIB the Indian comedy group was initially founded by Gursimran Khamba and Tanmay Bhat and was later joined by Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya. Abish Mathew and Kaneez Surka frequently collaborate with them. They have wide online acclamation and the group maintains a YouTube channel that delivers a session of high laughs. As of March 2015, the group has accumulated in their kitty around 100 million views, which is quite a hit in the market of You Tube.
According to Ajit Mohan, the head of Hotstar “We are sort of excited to bring AIB’s brand of mature humor to our platform. This may be the start of a new era of quality content in India, I am told. Janta hamein maaf karein.”
