Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari is doing rounds on the social media owing to Akshay’s unusual look in the film. Also, the movie now boasts of big names like Akshay and producer Karan Johar. However what was keeping the guessing game on was the unrevealed lead actress. KJo has given us relief from that part too. He announced Parineeti Chopra as Kesari’s lead actress.
KJo took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to announce the name of the leading lady in his upcoming production venture – Kesari. However, he goofed up a bit. Karan Johar shared the picture of Akshay Kumar’s Kesari look while announcing Parineeti Chopra’s name.
KJo tweeted, “The lead actress in #KESARI is ……..PARINEETI CHOPRA! @ParineetiChopra” (sic). With this text, he attached an image of Akshay Kumar. But the Twitterati is quick and noticed it. It complained about the unmatched picture to the caption. This invoked Karan to apologize to the public and tweet an additional announcement.

He tweeted: “Ok guys that was meant to be an image of #KESARI whilst announcing the lead actress in the film! Clearly, Twitter is quick to Jump and attack! Apologies!!!!! This is to re-announce the wonderfully talented @ParineetiChopra as the lead cast of #KESARI (sic).”

It was on Twitter that Parineeti also announced her excitement to be associated with the project. She tweeted: “So excited to be a part of this legendary journey!!! Thankyouuu @karanjohar @akshaykumar @DharmaMovies #AnuragSingh #Kesari (sic).”

The film Kesari is based on the Battle of Saragarhi. Playing the role of Havaldar Ishar Singh, Akshay is the military commander of 21 Sikh regiment. He fights and triumphs in an intense war with Afghani invaders on September 12, 1897. This battle is today known as the Battle of Saragarhi.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari should go on floors anytime this year.
