Amitabh Bachchan Miffed on Reduced number of Followers, Threatens to Quit Twitter

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most active celebrities on social media and he regularly updates his official handle with posts, pictures, and other stuff. However, recently the actor’s tweet has surprised everyone. Apparently, his number of followers on Twitter has reduced and now Shahrukh Khan has gained more followers pushing Big B to the 3rd most followed Indian on Twitter. With PM Modi on the first spot, the 2nd and 3rd positions have seemed to be swapped by SRK and Big B after the recent fluctuations in the numbers.

This didn’t go down well with senior Bachchan and he tweeted this on his official handle:

Currently, Shahrukh Khan has 32,940,346 followers while Amitabh Bachchan is trailing behind with 32,902,400 followers. The tweet could mean that Mr. Bachchan will now focus on Instagram and Facebook referred as other fish in the sea. However, the way he has been involved with Twitter it’s hard to believe that he can quit the platform altogether.

On one hand, Shahrukh Khan is loved for his witty, sarcastic comments while Amitabh is admired for his write-ups, his iconic roles, and has huge respect among the fans. The actors also interact with their fans, which makes their fans feel special and happy.

On the work front, Shahrukh is working on Anand L Rai’s Zero while Amitabh Bachchan will be soon seen in the Yashraj Production named Thugs of Hindostan also starring Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

There’s no confirmation if Big B is really going to leave Twitter but one thing is sure that he has never shown this kind of anger on losing to some other actor. In fact, he is known for appreciating all young actors and often sends them personal handwritten messages. Recently he sent a bouquet and a handwritten note to actor Ranveer Singh in praise of his performance in Padmaavat.
