Tipster Blass Confirms the Android Wear 2.0 Launch This February

A smooth QWERTY keyboard, new material UI, standalone Google Play Store and sleek, sophisticated body. That’s how Google described its Android wear 2.0 last year. Here’s a good news for all those who’ve been patiently waiting for this smartwatch. The brand new Android wear is likely to launch on February 9. Leaks suggest that Google’s top-notch Android wear will be manufactured by LG.

According to the latest reports, LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style will be the first devices to run on Android Wear 2.0 platform. The news was confirmed by Evan Blass, a well-known Tipster on Twitter. Describing the Google-LG partnership as Nexus style, Blass said that LG will be the first maker of Android smartwear 2.0. Coincidently, the leaks point out at previous reports wherein Google revealed that it was working in collaboration with a hardware company to launch two of its new smartwatches.

This confirms our suspicions regarding both the technology giants teaming up for the upcoming Android 2.0 smartwatch. However, we’re not sure that these are the same gadgets that recently passed through the US Federal Communications Commission. Nevertheless, they’ll make their debut in February and rollout in the global markets by March.

  • 768 MB RAM and 4GB storage will allow users to save their favourite tunes.
  • There’s a heart-sensor that will monitor the effect of rigorous workout schedule on your heart.

Contrary to this, LG Watch Style will:

  • Come with 10.8mm thick face.
  • Carry pleasant shades rose gold, silver and titanium colours– that’ll probably be favoured by women.
  • Sports 1.2-inch display, 240mAh battery and 512 MB RAM with 4GB internal storage.

Which one of These is Better?

Both devices will have a circular, plastic OLED screen. The makers have made it accessible to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well. Out of the two, the ‘Sport model’ seems to have an upper edge, with a larger battery, extended storage and advanced connectivity options. It’ll support LTE data, 3G connectivity, NFC and GPS connectivity.

Moreover, water and dust resistance, a digital crown button for navigation, iOS compatibility and Google assistant integration make it the most powerful device. This has certainly got the tech-experts excited. We all are anxiously waiting for February 9 to arrive soon.
