A big road accident has happened in Sikkim. Here on Friday, a bus fell into a deep gorge, killing 16 army personnel. A crowd has gathered at the spot. Relief and rescue work has been started on the spot. According to information, an army vehicle met with an accident in North Sikkim. 16 army soldiers were martyred in this road accident.
16 soldiers including 3 army officers were martyred. 4 jawans were injured, were admitted to the hospital for treatment. The accident happened when the army vehicle fell into the ditch. The accident happened in Gema area of North Sikkim. Army soldiers were going to Thangu from the cliff. Relief and rescue work was started on the spot.
Expressing grief, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the loss of lives of Indian Army soldiers due to a road accident in North Sikkim was deeply saddened.
