If you are thinking to get inked, ponder this, you cannot ink any Hindu god on your leg and other body parts which are not permissible as it is a crime and an obscene act according to the Hindu religion. An Australian guy who did this insult of Indian deity was harassed because of his action to get tattooed a Hindu Goddess Yellamma on his shin.

The guy who is a law student Matthew Gordon (21)  planned to stay in the Bengaluru city till February next year with his girlfriend Emily Kassianou (20), but witnessing the angry mob and the police over them they immediately need to elope from the city and India. The fear and anguish among people made them to get away from the city and country because of this incident.

The goddess who is reverenced with whole emotion could not be taken by the mob who saw their deity being inked on the shin and they immediately reacted on the couple. The police also gathered.

Matt was quoted in ‘the policemen advised me on Hindu religion and insisted I give a written apology for not covering my goddess tattoo, even as the group just watched. I tried taking law points, but had to finally give in as my girlfriend was in tears as the cops wouldn’t let us go.”

Gordon further said that he also has a Ganesha tattoo on his back and because of his spiritual faith he shall not be questioned and victimized. The man who was following his journey by executing his will did not make point for the people there and sudden outrage took place. With this incident, he is no more interested to continue his spiritual journey in India.

On this note, the local politician of BJP, who did not support the act of Gordon donning the tattoo of Hindu deity, said “We did not force him to write an apology letter. He voluntarily gave that letter. We and the police only educated him about the Hindu values and that sporting that tattoo on the leg would be taken as an insult to the religion. We let him go, after asking him to wear a pair of trousers and not sport the tattoo.”
