Badminton star Saina Nehwal turns 28; Know her fitness regime

Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal is going to celebrate her 28th birthday. Born on 17th March 1990, Saina has won more than 23 international titles. She was the former world no. 1 badminton player. She had become only female badminton player to attain world no. 1 ranking. She has also won Bronze medal in Olympics 2012 held at London. Apart from this, she holds many other achievements. Government of India has conferred Padma Bhushan, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna and the Arjuna Award on Saina. Her journey to success was not easy. She really work hard every day to train her body and follow a fitness regime. On her birthday, let’s know her fitness regime.

Badminton player is very sincere about her routine and diet. Her fitness regime includes strength training, few sessions of agility. Moderate running is also part of her training. For her upper body, she does dumbbell pullovers and military press. This helps to strengthen chest, back muscles and shoulders. She does rowing exercises and heel raises. Rowing is an important part of her training that helps in reducing weight. She runs to increase her leg strength and crunches for strength of arms. Yoga helps her in eases stress.

She makes sure to consume eggs in her breakfast and make distance from junk, processed and unhealthy food. She also consumes lots of steamed food and salads. Saina stay away from carbohydrates after 7:30 pm.
