Benjamin Netanyahu’s Mumbai Visit to be marked by Launch of Namaste Shalom Magazine

As the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu who is currently in India and is scheduled to visit Mumbai on Thursday, the Jewish Community will mark his presence with the launch of ‘Namaste Shalom’ magazine. It’s a monthly magazine about bi-lateral relations between India and Israel. The launch would take place at Magen David Synagogue at Byculla in South Mumbai.

Ralphy Jhirad, the Editorial Board Member of the Magazine, revealed that the magazine is planning to carry forward the great initiative of PM Modi and PM Netanyahu of strengthening the ties between the two countries and provide a platform to enable the exchange of ideas and views between Indians and Jews across the world.

Earlier today, the two Prime Ministers went on a roadshow and then paid a visit to the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. The two leaders also inaugurated the iCreate Center at Deo Dholera village in Ahmedabad to promote the next generation entrepreneurship. Here, Mr. Netanyahu said that “The world knows about iPads and iPods, there’s one more i that the world needs to know about, that is iCreate.”

Giving a message to the magazine, PM Modi stated, “The deep friendship of the Indian people with Israel is something worth celebrating. The bond between the two countries goes back centuries in time and will continue to grow stronger.”
