The new Bollywood debutante Jhanvi Kapoor is making headlines every day as her presence on celluloid and other media increases. With her upcoming film, Jhanvi has garnered a large number of eyeballs. But the world is mourning over the absence of her legendary mother Sridevi as much as Jhanvi and her family is.
Jhanvi’s father Boney Kapoor said that her wife Sridevi had seen the rushes of the film. Jhanvi’s looks are also found striking a close similarity with Sridevi. It is also a fact that Sridevi was a little apprehensive about Jhanvi’s Bollywood entry owing to her soft nature and naive demeanor.
When Jhanvi was asked how her father felt on seeing the massive success of the song, she said: “He is very happy with the response for this song. He actually updates me that the song is trending and it has got a large number of views on various digital and social media platforms.”
Gearing up for the release of Dhadak, Jhanvi said that the film has a very strong social message. “Our film is based on a social issue. This film will give a really strong social message which is why I feel everyone should watch this film,” said Janhvi when the Dhadak team visited a local radio station on Thursday.
She was elated with the response film’s recently-released song “Zingaat” had received. “I am feeling really happy that we have received a positive response for the song.” She also noted that the song is loved by Marathi audiences and how it is so well-suited to the characters of the film and the storyline. Dhadak happens to be a remake of the 2016 Marathi film Sairat. “We had so much fun shooting that song so, I hope people will enjoy it while watching it on the big screen,” she said.
Produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios, Dhadak is a romantic drama directed by Shashank Khaitan and is slated to be released on July 20.
