Canadian PM Justin Trudeau on a 7-day Visit to India; here’s the entire schedule!

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau is all set to start his Indian tour for an entire week and this time he is traveling with his wife Sophie Gregoire and 3 kids, aged 3, 9, and 11. He will arrive in India by Saturday evening i.e. 17th February and then travel to various cities starting from 18th February. Reportedly, the Canadian Prime Minister is going to visit Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Agra, and Amritsar apart from New Delhi.

The National Advisors of India and Canada had already held a meeting a few days back so as to prepare the ground for the PM Modi and PM Trudeau to hold discussions on intensifying defense and security. In the meeting, the NSAs also discussed India’s concern over rising Sikh radicalism in Canada.

Here’s the entire schedule from the Canadian Prime Minister’s 7-day sojourn:

• On February 18, PM Trudeau is going to visit Taj Mahal in Agra along with his family.

• On February 19, he will be traveling to Ahmedabad to visit the Sabarmati Ashram. Here, he will also take part in a discussion with students of Indian Institute of Management. The session is titled- Education and Investment Opportunities.

• The next day, he will reach Mumbai to hold bilateral meetings with business leaders and would take part in “women business leaders’ roundtable”. This will be followed by a discussion at the Canada-India Business Forum. Later, he is also scheduled to visit some Indian film industry members.

• On February 21, he will leave for Amritsar to visit the Golden Temple with his wife and kids and then would head back to New Delhi.

• On February 22, Trudeau is scheduled to visit the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. Later, he would deliver a keynote address at the Canada-India Business Summit.

• Next day, the Canadian PM would be welcomed at Rashtrapati Bhavan where he would be meeting President Ram Nath Kovind and PM Modi. He will also attend the wreath-laying ceremony at Rajghat and later he would attend a roundtable with CEOs of Indian and Canadian companies.

• On February 24, he would be delivering the keynote address at the 2018 Young Changemakers Conclave conference, which features TED-talk style discussions.
