Chief Ministers of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh ink a strategic MoU to boost Interstate Transport

In a constant bid to accelerate trade and business across domestic boundaries, governments of several states are taking proactive steps to unleash the real power of trade in the country.

Not lagging in any sphere or realm of development, Rajasthan government too, is speeding up its trade boosting initiatives. Recently, the desert state inked a MoU with the UP government.

An inter-state transport agreement was inked between the Rajasthan Government and the Uttar Pradesh Government. This is the first road transport agreement between Rajasthan and UP after CM Yogi assumed office in the most populous state in India.

Under the impeccable leadership of CM Raje and exemplary vision of CM Yogi Adityanath, the two states have been successful in fortifying its intra-state trade relations with due diligence and continual monitoring.

A strategic MoU of Interstate Agreement between Rajasthan Transport Department and Uttar Pradesh Road Transport Corporation was signed between the two states today.

To expedite the MoU signing process, Transport Ministers of the Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan Governments namely Dev Singh and Yunus Khan respectively inked their signatures on the files.

MoU: What, Where and How?

A multi-dimensional MoU between the Government of Rajasthan and the Uttar Pradesh Government will enable commencement of a direct bus service for several districts in both the states.

A direct bus service will be started for the cities of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Ajmer, Meerut, Bikaner, Ganganagar, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Sawai-madhapur and Alwar etc.

Moreover, effective plans to further integrate the MoU are being devised. Areas like Gorakhpur, Sambhal, Allahabad, Kannauj will also have bus facilities started by the virtue of this MoU.

Not only this, buses from both the states will ferry passengers to cities like Delhi, Haridwar and Meerut.

Coverage of 56000 km area spread across both states

A sprawling area of 56000 km across the two states will be encompassed under this MoU, which will engender easy passage of vehicles along with fostering business relations. 199 roads of both the states fall under the ambit of MoU, thereby facilitating business relations and lessening traffic issues between the two states.

Culture of two states connected with easy travel

This MoU will foster cultural connectivity between the two states thereby opening opportunities of reinforcing tourism, trade, medical, education etc. across the state boundaries, said CM Raje.
