CliQ: Tata Group entry card in the e-commerce sector

The one member missing from the splurging e-commerce business was the Tata group. But it is the not the case any more as a business venture of the same known to be Tata Unistore, has recently announced the multi business’ entry into the e-commerce world through Cliq. Unistore was previously launched in 2014 and it seems that the brand like Tata took great deal of time and research before embarking their journey through one fiercely competitive sector of e-commerce.

Cliq, as hinted above will be an e-commerce platform from Tata group, the official website, mobile site and mobile app of which will be launched on 27th of May for all the consumers.

Ashutosh Pandey, the CEO of Tata Cliq, said in an interview that, “The ‘Q’ in the logo represents a magnifying glass – a visual representation of the brand’s focus on curating only the best brands and products.”

Since Cliq is at its initial stage thus, the brand has said to begin with three categories namely, apparel, electronics and footwear. Once proper pathway of growth and further stability can be seen, Cliq will introduce other categories as well. The three categories that Tata has selected for Cliq to sell are great choices, because these three are the top selling shopping categories. Also the interesting fact to note over here is that this e-commerce venture will not only sell Tata products but other will brands will also be sold equally.

One of the reporters fetched the news that, “Tata Unistore’s Cliq will curate authentic and exclusive products for customers with impeccable taste.”
