CM Raje moved a step ahead for Dalits by announcing new programmes!

Popularly known as ‘Babasaheb’, Dr. BR Ambedkar was the first Law Minister of the Independent India. He was not just the architect of the Indian constitution but is also counted among one of the most influential Indian around the world. He stood up against social discrimination and was the soul inspiration behind the Modern Buddhist Movement in India.

Dalits and the less fortunate castes of our societies has always been a major concern for the state. Keeping in mind the same, on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, CM of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje announced a new scheme on his name. The ‘Ambedkar Sambal Scheme‘ was announced by CM Raje on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar in a state level function.

Congress has always talked about the minorities during the elections for the obvious vote purposes. They have made several promises which were never fulfilled thereafter. Unlike them, Vasundara Raje led BJP in Rajasthan is not leaving any stone unturned in giving equal importance to these communities.

To empower and strengthen the Dalit community, and to uplift their social and economic status, CM Raje announced several programmes that would be run under the ‘Ambedkar Sambal Scheme’. These programmes will not only promote skill and livelihood but also innovation among the Dalit youths. Following are the programmes which were duly announced,

  • Ambedkar Skill Training Centre: Rs 1 crore will be spent in developing this center at the Ambedkar Peeth premises where the Dalit studnts will be given skill training and the ceter will be run by RSLDC.
  • Ambedkar Startup Scheme: Under this scheme, entrepreneurship based on IT, new techniques and innovations will be promoted among the Dalit students. In the first phase of the start-ups 100 new start-ups will be introduced.
  • Ambedkar Fellowship Scheme: Fellowships for PHD and research work in Sociology, Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics and Phiolsophy subjects has been announced by the CM for the extra ordinary Dalit students. In the first phase, six students will get fellowship annually.
  • Ambedkar Electronic Information Library Network: Students of the Ambedkar Peeth will now be able to have access to books in the new modern library that will be developed in the premises.
  • Ambedkar International Scholarship Scheme: financial assistance of up to Rs. 25 lakh for PHD in reputed foreign universities will be given to 5 outstanding and exceptional students from the scheduled caste.
  • B. R. Ambedkar Research Chair: Research Chair will be set up in Kota University for research on ideas of Baba Sahab Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
  • Ambedkar Peeth to Be Developed as Centre of Excellence: CM Raje announced to develop an Ambedkar Peeth at Jaipur as Centre of Excellence.
