CM Vasundhara Raje says “Vishwakarma Jayanti Will Be Celebrated As Rajasthan MSME Day”

Rajasthan is currently hosting India Industrial Fair 2016 along with Mega MSME Conclave. Along with Defence Department and the Export Promotion Council, there are stalls of textiles, handicraft and many others from small and medium industries of the state. There are more than 20 stalls by the Ministry of Defence where such parts are being displayed which can be developed and manufactured in small scale and medium industries. Defence experts here will brief about the parts that can be manufactured in the MSMEs here in Rajasthan. Apart from the MSME conclave, in the India Industrial Fair 2016, Skill development, power generation, railway, defence, and other technical topics will be discussed. Also, the students of technical institutes of the state here will be awarded with the Best Start-up Award-2016. The students have also been provided with enough space for the presentation of the start up ideas.

On the occasion Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has said that micro, small and medium (MSME) enterprises are playing an important role in the world economy of many developed countries. MSME entrepreneurs in the state of Rajasthan have not only brought laurels to the state but have shined out on the national and international level. Given the importance of these industries, the state government of Rajasthan is keeping them on the priority list and has made some policies for such enterprises. On the occasion Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said that Vishwakarma Jayanti would now onwards be celebrated as the MSME day. She announced that the state government will provide Rajasthan Udyog Rattan Award on this day every year. Apart from these, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje made some other crucial announcements for the MSMEs as follow:

  • There will be 4 awards each for micro, small and medium enterprises respectively.
  • The best entrepreneurs from each category will get a cash prize of Rs one lakh each.

The 4 major awards that would be given to the best of every category would be given in the following 4 categories:

  1. Best in Growth of Business in Terms of Turnover.
  2. Best Women Entrepreneur.
  3. Best Business practices (includes compliance in Environment Parameters, adoption of energy conservation practices, adoption of new technology, measures too increase labor productivity and finally employee welfare).
  4. Best turn around and revival of sick industry.

CM Raje said, “The team work and tireless efforts by the Rajasthan state government has created better Industrial investment climate. It is a result of this that Rajasthan ranks number 2 in the country in the Ease of Doing Business states’ list.” She further emphasized the fact the as compared to large industries, the chances of loans getting relapsed are less in the in MSME fields. She stated that the state’s new MSME policy was issued on November 20 last year. The policy had designed rules of quality control, standards and assessment of pollution control. She said that the new industrial policy of the state government is providing many features to the small to medium entrepreneurs. She has also arranged camps throughout the state in collaboration with Facebook where small and medium industry people will be taught how they can grow their businesses with the help of social media.

CM Raje is step by step moving ahead towards the betterment of the state taking along every individual, irrespective of any category along. She believes and understands that the state can only develop when keeping people at the centre of development projects.
