Coursera collaborates with Google for IT professional certificate

A course started by Google in collaboration with Coursera to support IT professionals. Coursera is a popular technology based education platform while Google is a search engine giant. A six-course curriculum is developed by Google to allow prospective job seekers. It is aimed to make job seekers prepared for an entry-level role in IT support. This course is started under ‘Grow with Google’ initiative. It begins from 25 January onwards.

This six-month course will be called as ‘Google IT Support Professional Certificate’ course and is designed by IT professionals from Google. Google said this course will prepare people for entry level job. In fact, this program will help candidates those who don’t have four year college degree.

Who can enroll themselves?
This course is open for all. As this is for an entry-level job seeker so people without IT background can also enroll themselves. In this course, candidates will learn troubleshooting, customer service, networking, operating systems, system administration, automation and security and other topics. To train the people under this course, the in-house training of Google will be implemented.

Duration and fees of the course
This is an 8 to 12 months long course with more 64 hours of video lessons, comprising hands-on labs and other interactive assessments. This course is available for Rs. 25000 to 30000.
