Davos Summit 2018: India to Offer Yoga Classes on Icy Slopes

As per the latest reports by Foreign Ministry, the World Economic Forum at Davos is going to witness Yoga sessions from Indian delegations. In an aim to promote Indian traditions at international level, PM Modi’s delegation will conduct Yoga glasses on the icy slopes. There will be 2 Indian Yoga teachers who will take daily classes at the summit.

With this attempt, India will showcase its potential as a driver of the global economic growth after China. It will also exhibit the taste of the Indian cuisine and other achievements that reflect the culture and heritage of the nation.

The World Economic Forum will start from 23rd January and will go on until 26th January, based on the theme- “Creating a shared future in a fractured world”. The event will be attended by 70 heads of state and government, chief executives, top bankers, celebrities, and world leaders like US President Donald Trump, President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, and others.

World Economic Forum is reportedly the world’s biggest forum and Mr. Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to attend the summit in the last 21 years. Last time, HD Deve Gowda has attended the summit in 1997 and since then no other Indian PM has attended the event.

Other dignitaries who are going to attend the summit include Reliance Group Owner Mukesh Ambani, ICICI CEO Chanda Kochar, Union Ministers like Suresh Prabhu, Piyush Goyal, Nitin Gadkari, and Bollywood celebs like Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan. Besides, the former Governor of RBI Raghuram Rajan is also expected to attend the WEF 2018.
