The much-awaited film Deadpool 2 starring Ryan Reynolds has reportedly been spared by the Indian Censor Board i.e. Central Bureau of Film Certification (CBFC) which has shocked many viewers. Yes, you heard it right! Although the film has received an A rating, there are no cuts in the movie except a few cuss words that have been beeped.

After the board headed by the “not so famous” Pehlaaj Nihlani ordered for 7 major cuts in Deadpool 1, it’s quite relieving yet shocking for the Marvel fans as they will be able to enjoy Deadpool 2 without any cuts. Reportedly, the first part was quite different from the original one for those who watched it in India as many gestures, abuses, and movements were eliminated by the board.

Not just Deadpool but in the past few years, many films had been a victim of the CBFC in India. From the kissing scene of James Bond in Spectre to several bold scenes in Lipstick Under My Burkha, the Indian Censor Board has rarely spared any movie from the cuts. However, now that Prasoon Joshi has replaced Nihlani as the head, we guess the “Achhe Din” for Cinema in India have begun.

Clearly, the freedom of creativity has become the need of the hour and this decision by the censor board is a good sign that Cinema is heading in the right direction. Especially for a movie like Deadpool, the highly violent action and foul dialogues are the essence of the masterpiece and viewers would not enjoy if the film had gone under the scissors.

Although the viewers are still divided on the topic as to whether Ranveer Singh is the ideal choice for the Hindi dubbing, the English shows are surely going to be a hit.

After the Avengers: Infinity War which was a humongous hit, Deadpool 2 is predicted to be another big hit in India and is likely to earn INR 7 Crores on its first day. The film is going to hit the theaters on May 18 and the advance bookings have already started!
