The sultry actress Deepika Padukone has been up and about since her career began, but the last two years have been especially hectic for the beauty. From her Hollywood debut to shooting for Padmavat and Deepika has been occupied and has not got enough rest evidently.

Due to her tight work schedule, the actress developed intense back pain. Due to unrestfulness, the pain has only grown more intense by the day. Her doctors have advised her to just stop for now. They have also mandated Deepika to wear a back strap for support and quick healing. The doctors have asked her to wear the strap, whatsoever.

Due to her worsening back pain, her shooting schedule has also got affected off late. Deepika’s back injury has also become the reason for postponing the schedule of Vishal Bhardwaj directorial venture. Bhardwaj’s venture is an anticipated film in which Deepika plays the role of famous lady don, Sapna Didi. The shooting schedule for the same had to be pushed further until Deepika attains normal health.

Recently, Deepika has been seen at all social events with her beau Ranveer Singh. Speculations were rife that the duo will be getting married in Paris soon, walking on the steps of Anushka – Virat who chose for Tuscany, Italy for a sans Indian media marriage affair.

On being asked to speak about her choosing such a movie which revolves around Mafia Queens of Mumbai and an adaptation of S. Hussain Zaidi’s book, Deepika said, “Of all the scripts I have heard in the last two years, I’ve been stuck on this one. He (Vishal Bharadwaj) brought this to me first, got me excited and then when I was ready to do it, he had moved on to something else. But, I persisted. It’s the one occasion where I pursued the director to make the film.”

Deepika’s co-star Irrfan Khan also developed a rare disease. He said in a tweet: “Sometimes you wake up with a jolt with life-shaking you up. The last fifteen days, my life has been a suspense story. Little had I known that my search for rare stories would make me find a rare disease. I have never given up and have always fought for my choices and always will. My family and friends are with me and we are working it out the best way possible. In trying times, please don’t speculate as I will myself share with you my story within a week – ten days when the further investigations come with a conclusive diagnosis. Till then, wish the best for me.”
