Delhi boy grabs a whopping package of Rs 1.27 crore from Google

Delhi Boy Gets 1.27 Cr Offer From Google

Records are not made every day, but this Delhi boy Chetan Kakkar set a new record of grabbing a package of Rs 1.27 crore i.e. $1,90,000 respectively from the tech giant Google. Chetan Kakkar studies at Delhi Technological University (DTU) and made news by grabbing this whopping offer from Google.

As per the report, Kakkar said “the DTU campus has made a great difference to his prospects. Kakkar will join Google after completing his course in 2016. “Kakkar’s parents are teachers at Delhi University. Rita Kakkar is in the faculty of chemistry department and Subhash Kakkar is a teacher of management studies.”

Well, it is not for the first time Google has made this whopping offer, it had offered a grand package of Rs 1.7 crore  to a student of IIT Indore, Gaurav Agarwal in 2014.

highest package to indian student

As Google is headed by Sundar Pichai, it seems to be a good chance for Indian students to bag their role in this magnificent atmosphere of tech leaders.

Kakkar is an alumnus of Springdales, Pusa Road. His parents are teachers at the Delhi University. Google is not the only company, as social media giant Facebook has also offered Indian students lucrative job offers. Last year, three students bagged the highest package of Rs 1.42 crore each from Facebook at a premier IIT-B on the first day of the placements.

As per the reports of the Towers Watson 2014-15 Asia-Pacific salary budget planning report released earlier this year, Indians are expected to get 10.8 percent hike in salaries in 2015. China is expected to see the highest salary increase with 5.2 percent, followed by Pakistan (4.5 per cent), Bangladesh (4.3 per cent), Vietnam (4.1 per cent) and Sri Lanka (3.8 per cent).
