Delhi-Darshan: Take a bird view of Delhi in a chopper at only Rs 2499

Delhi Darshan Flights

HoHo buses in Delhi are so 2016. Now it’s time to switch to chopper flights. No, I am not kidding! Now you can ride in a chopper flight and get an aerial view of north Delhi up to the extent of Akshardham Temple.

The helicopter giant, Pawan Hans will start regular “Delhi Darshan” chopper flights which will take off from Rohini Heliport. The company will facilitate riders to enjoy a 20-minute ride in air.

The heli-ride will cost Rs 4,999. It will take riders above Pitampura Tower, Majnu Ka Tila, Red Fort, Rajghat, Akshardham Temple among other nearby areas.

For those, who want to spend less can select a 10-minute ride for Rs 2,499. However, the list of locations which will be covered under this plan is not yet finalized.

The avant-garde Rohini Heliport in Delhi will be the prime airport from where these helicopters will take off.

The public ride choppers won’t be able to go much beyond Akshardham as beyond that the approach path of Delhi Airport’s three runways begin.

So they will have to return from the riverbed temple. A small heliport near this temple on the riverbed has been planned for years.

Notably, this is the first-of-its-kind helicopter ride. This facility will facilitate people to ride above Delhi-heights and witness a mesmerizing view of the capital city.

The Delhi Airport is highly congested. It is difficult to secure a seat at any private chopper. The top-men of country like Prime Minister, President avail this facility on the go. However, for many others, it is still a hassle. But now, flying over Delhi is no far-cry.

The ride will officially kick-start from April 1, 2017. Bookings can be made online at www.pawanhans.co.in. One can easily book their tickets at this portal.
