Elections for 1 Lok Sabha, 6 Assembly seats in 5 states whereas voting ends in Gujarat

By-elections are being held in 5 states in the country today. In Gujarat it was the end for assembly elections and 59% votes are done. Sabarkantha had the highest numbers of voters the 5 states for by-elections are Mainpuri Lok Sabha and Rampur-Khatauli Assembly in UP, Sardarshahar Assembly seat in Rajasthan, Padampur Assembly seat in Odisha, Kudhani Assembly seat in Bihar, Bhanupratappur Assembly seat in Chhattisgarh. Enthusiasm is visible among the voters everywhere. Despite the cold, people are standing in line waiting for their turn.

Gujarat: Voting ends in second phase of assembly elections

In the second phase of Gujarat assembly elections, voting was held today from 8 am to 5 pm. About 26 thousand polling stations have been set up for the second phase of voting. PM Narendra Modi has also reached Gujarat from Delhi to cast his vote. Modi was seen standing and waiting in line. He accepted the greetings of the people coming on foot. The second and last phase of voting in Gujarat is over. According to the Election Commission, a total of 58.56 percent people have exercised their voting till 5 pm. However, these are not the final figures yet. Final figures will be released by late evening.

UP: Voting continues on Mainpuri Lok Sabha, Rampur-Khatauli assembly seat

Voting is being held in UP’s Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat and Rampur, Khatauli assembly seats. This election is being seen as the semi-final of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Mainpuri seat result will decide the political stature of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav in the country’s politics, Rampur seat will decide the future of Azam Khan’s family politics. The result of all the three seats will come on December 8.

Odisha: 10 candidates in fray from Padampur assembly seat

The by-election is being held on the Padampur assembly seat in Bargarh district of Odisha. 319 polling stations have been set up here. Of these, 79 polling stations are ‘sensitive’. More than 2.57 lakh people have franchise in this seat. The Election Commission said that at least 1,400 security forces have been deployed here.
Bihar: Voting amid tight security in Kudhni
Voting has started from 7 am for the Kudni assembly by-election. Voters’ enthusiasm is high even after the cold. A total of 320 polling stations have been set up here. The total number of voters is 311728. In this the number of female voters is 146507 and the number of male voters is 164474.

Chhattisgarh: 6 thousand soldiers deployed in 56 polling booths

Voting has started from 7 am in Bhanupratappur assembly by-election in Chhattisgarh. There are about 1 lakh 95 thousand 822 voters in 256 polling booths. It will be a big challenge to get each and every vote cast in 17 polling stations located in highly sensitive areas. Due to being a Naxal area, more than 6 thousand soldiers have been deployed. Voting will continue till 3 pm.

Rajasthan: Triangular struggle in Sardarshahar made the by-election exciting

Voting has begun for the by-election for the Sardarshahar assembly seat in Churu district. The election here has turned into an exciting three-cornered contest. RLP is giving a tough fight to Congress and BJP in Sardarshahar. The results will come on 8 December.
