Gold Trailer out: Akshay Kumar’s sports drama showcases new facet of patriotism

Akshay Kumar has again won the heart with the trailer of its upcoming movie ‘Gold’. Although the several posters of the film have been released, the trailer makes your heart fill with lots of passion and patriotism. The movie is of patriotic genre, in which Akshay has delivered many hits before. The trailer appears to be another masterpiece of his acting.

Few days back, Akshay tweeted the release date of the trailer. A poster was also shared from actor’s Twitter account. The poster features Akshay along with Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh, and Sunny Kaushal amongst others. The tweet reads, “One generation dreamt it, the other achieved it.”

The trailer showcases the determination of a hockey player to win Gold for India. Akshay Kumar is playing the role of Tapan Das, a Bengali in the movie. It is a journey of Tapan Das to bring together a hockey team for making the dream a reality.

The movie is based on the true events. This movie features India’s first Olympic Games’ win as a free country in hockey. In 1947, India had got independence from British rule. Soon after, the Olympic Games were being hosted in England in 1948. This movie will showcase how India won Gold in England after defeating its former colonial masters. Check out the trailer.

Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, Gold will be releasing on this Independence Day. This year, it is the 70th anniversary of India’s victory at the 1948 Olympics after being freed from British rule.
