Google Cloud Infrastructure to be Set up in Mumbai by 2017 End

Google Cloud Platform

As per the recent market reports, Search engine giant Google has revealed its plan to establish its cloud infrastructure in Mumbai. Owing to the increased traction for cloud services from local clients, Google has decided to carry out the concerned project this year itself.

Already marked by an equally competitive dominance by Amazon and Microsoft, the cloud services are growing stronger by each day, and so is the market competition.

The Country Manager of Google, Mohit Pande, was quoted as saying, “By the end of the fourth quarter of 2017, the India cloud region will go live in Mumbai with three zones.” He also pointed out that the infrastructure is going to offer core services relating to computing, storage, big data, and networking.

Although it hasn’t been revealed as to how much investment has gone into the proposed venture, the tech giant has reportedly spent USD 30 Billion for cloud infrastructure over the past three years, in the global market.
With the presence of so many multinational companies in several sectors of the Indian market, clearly, this announcement by Google is yet another indication towards the huge potential that the country possesses.
