Google Aims To Train 2 Million Android App Developers In India

The search engine giant Google has always given the youngsters opportunities to keep an eye on. Following the same, the tech giant Google Aims To Train 2 Million Android App Developers In India. Google believes that the country has immense talent that only needs to be polished and thus in the next three years, the brand has collaborated with a few universities throughout the country to train around 2 million android app developers.

The software giant Google plans to launch a training program in India for training and guiding approximately 2 million app developers for its Android platform. Google has planned to start such program to educate and certify the Indian app developers so that it could grow the IT industry in India. Such Android skilling program is aimed towards training 2 million android mobile app developers as the rate of Smartphone users is multiplying with a fast rate in the past few years.

Such instructor-led training program on Android fundamentals will be launched in various universities and training institutes along with their instructor as the part of National Skill Development Corporation of India. It would be an instructor-led training program which would be made public this year. According to the stats, India is expected to have the largest number of app developing crowd of 4 million by the end of 2018, which is even larger than the US market. The giant’s vice-president Ceasar Sengupta had believed in India’s potential to become a global leader in mobile app development with its skill to innovate and uniquely shape the internet experience for billions of mobile users.

Google Vice President Product Management Caesar Sengupta told, “India is expected to have the largest developer population globally, overtaking the US, by 2018, with four million developers. But today only 25 per cent of developers are building for mobile. We are launching a specially-designed instructor-led training programme on Android Fundamentals. This will be made available across public and private universities and training institutes of the National Skill Development Corporation of India (NSDC).” The Google, for its initiative has collaborated with several universities in the country which includes Amity University, Rayat Bahra University, GD Goenka University and Lovely Professional University.
Google Head of Developer Training Peter Lubbers said, “We are also training the trainers to update their Android courseware to prepare students for the Android Certification and a career in Android development…We expect to train about 4,000 faculty members.”

This Indian potential is even been examined by Apple’s chief executive officer and thus, in his may visit, Apple announced its development accelerator program in the country’s technology hub, Bangalore, in the early next year. The Google’s program is said to be available for free as an open source to everyone interested in it and building the careers in App development course. In the final stage of the program, students would have to take the exam for the Associate Android Developer Certification as per the terms of Google.

All the students and faculty members who would be trained under this program by the tech giant Google, after their training, will be able to log in to Google Developer Training Website and will be entitled to take the certification exam by paying a fee of Rs 6500. The successful candidates will further get android developers jobs.
