Rajasthan: Raje Government goes out of their way to aid Gujjar community, yet again

Gurjar

On 23rd May, 2008, the state of Rajasthan was enveloped in an atmosphere of violence. From then to today, a myriad of schemes have been initiated towards the prosperity of the Gujjar community. Schemes like Devnarayan have been wonderfully implemented throughout the state. Raje has reaffirmed the Gujjars for her unabating and unconditional  support. She has restored her confidence in the Gujjars, by all honest means.

The Raje Government has sure tried to mitigate the grievances of the Gujjar community Post the High Court had struck down Gujjar’s community appeal for 5% SBC (Special Backward Class) reservation, there has been instances of reciprocation in the form of serpentine rallies. Nonetheless, a breath of fresh air entered the realms when the HC put a stay order on it’s order. In other words, the High Court announced a stay order for 6 days on it’s decision to withdraw the 5% reservation allotted to Gujjars. It is indeed a Happy New Year for the Gujjars.

Knowing that the government has made meticulous efforts towards securing a reservation for the Gujjar, the ultra shrewd opposition leaves no stones unturned to aggravate the pains of the Gujjars. They claim to have done enough for the concerned community, without having done even a fraction of it. Raje has demonstrated heart-felt concern towards the entire community if Gujjars. This is validated by a plethora of schemes and programmes exclusively run by the Government to further and expedite the process of benefit transfer to the Gujjar community.

Last year, the Gujjar community was granted an enviable 54% reservation. in SBC category that is Raikas, Gujjars, Gadia Lohars, Banjaras and Raikas. Rajasthan HC has firmly pointed out that these five castes are enjoying the perks of caste-based reservations at educational institutions, services among many others. The court reiterated the fact that if the plea to extend a 5% reservation is accepted, it will engender the ceiling limit to stretch to 50%, which would sure not be a pragmatic view.

Bainsla and Himaat Singh have clearly abstained their minds to look down the memory lane. Raje had gone out of her way to ensure that Gujjar men and women are sufficed and contented until their unending thirst for massive reservations and humongous wishes is quenched.

Recently, the High Court’s decision to strike off Raje has reiterated her intention by vowing to file a plea with a higher authority, who she believes will grant fair and justified reservation to the community.

The only requisite to manifest Gujjar dreams into reality is their uninfluenced support to Raje. The opposition has proved to be very competent in isolating the Gujjars from their zones of comfort and peace.

A comprehensive restoration of Gujjar’s aspirations would be no short of an intimidating journey, but it can be possible if the Gujjars strike a common chord with the Government and act collaboratively, in every sense of the word.
