As both Tuesday and Saturday are devoted to Lord Hanuman so this year it’s more significant. It is basically observed on 15th day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra of the Hindi calendar.

Know the importance of Hanuman Jayanti:
Lord Hanuman has the ability to transform his physique. Also known as Pawan putra i.e. son of wind-God Pavana, Hanuman is believed to possess herculean abilities. According to Ramayana, he lifted an entire mountain with just one hand. He is considered to be 11th reincarnation of Lord Shiva. Hanuman ji was the biggest follower of Lord Rama. In fact, he was the closest one to Rama. According to Hindu mythology, he played a major role in the battle between Rama and Ravana. It is believed that Lord Hanuman keeps the evil powers and troubles away.

The muhurat of Hanuman Jayanti will begin on 30th March at 7:35 pm and end on 31st March till 6 pm.

How to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti
On the special occasion, devotees go to temples and worship Lord Hanumana to seek his blessings. People chant mantra. They can also recite 108 names of Hanuman, Hanuman Chalisa and Sundar Kaand. People should offer Boondi ladoo to Hanuman. Many people distribute food to masses outside the temple and donate things.
