Happy Birthday Madhuri Dixit: The Dancing Diva with a Million Dollar Smile

Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit, the actress known for her million-dollar-smile, celebrates her birthday on 15th May. Aging beautifully with unmatchable grace, the actress is going to turn 51 this year but it’s hard to tell as she looks gorgeous as ever.

Throughout her career, she has given numerous stellar performances but one thing at which she is irreplaceable is her dance. Madhuri is one of the few performers who can emote so much with their eyes.

As the actress turns 51, here is a list of some of her most iconic songs that can never be re-created:

1. Hum Ko Aaj Kal Hai Intezar: Sailaab (1990)

Madhuri Dixit
Dressed as a fisherwoman in Marathi style, Madhuri Dixit is not just excellent at her dance moves but she also emotes the feelings of the character pretty well. Even though the movie couldn’t do well, no one can forget this song and the way Madhuri grooved to the beats.

2. Didi Tera Dewar Deewana: Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994)

Madhuri Dixit
This one is a fun song from one of the most popular family dramas of the 90s era. Not only the song was a hit but even the looks and dress worn by Madhuri were followed as a trend by the young girls. Her expressions, her eyes, and her thumkas won many hearts back then.

3. Ek Do Teen: Tezaab (1998)

Madhuri Dixit
One can never forget the iconic song Ek Do Teen from the movie Tezaab choreographed by Saroj Khan. The song starts with a little conversation and proceeds with Madhuri telling everyone that she is waiting for her man. Despite being an item number of that time, there’s no vulgarity or sexist angle which is quite rare nowadays.

4. Kay Sera Sera: Pukaar (2000)

Madhuri Dixit
Unlike most of her songs where Madhuri is seen donning traditional attire, this own showed her modern diva avatar. She shakes a leg with none other than Prabhu Deva who is himself a phenomenal dancer. She looks exceptional and her dance moves will make you watch the song on a loop.

5. Ghagra: Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (2012)

Madhuri Dixit
Returning to the silver screen after a break, it’s hard to tell that Madhuri has aged because she looks as magnificent as in the 90s. Dancing along with Ranbir Kapoor by her side, the Dhak Dhak girl is nothing short of a visual delight with her expressions on point (as always).

Madhuri Dixit is soon going to appear in a Marathi film Bucket List which will hit the theatres on May 25th. The film is about a housewife who finds a bucket list and goes on a mission to do all that is included in it from riding a bike to dancing her heart out.
