Randhir Kapoor is a veteran actor who used to be known as the hero with charming looks, back in the 70s. Although he has now taken a back seat in his acting career, he is occasionally seen essaying the role of hero’s father in some films. The actor celebrates his birthday on 15th February and every year, his daughters Karisma and Kareena host a birthday bash which is attended by all the members of the Kapoor clan.
Starting his career in 1971, Randhir quickly gained the position of a leading actor of Indian cinema. He gave three consecutive hits in the year 1972 namely Jeet, Rampur Ka Lakshman, and Jawani Diwani. He acted in films till 1985 and later in 1991 he directed a romantic drama Henna, which became the most successful film of the decade.

Randhir married actress Babita in 1971 as the couple fell in love while shooting for the film Kal, Aaj, Aur Kal. They parted ways in 1988 and lived separately for 19 years without getting a divorce. Later, they reconciled their marriage in the year 2007. Initially, he wasn’t supportive of the idea of his daughters working in the film industry but later he agreed to support both of them.
The Kapoor clan is the biggest Khandaan of Hindi film industry and the clan often gets together to celebrate occasions like Christmas, birthdays, etc. This year the three brothers Randhir, Rishi, and Rajiv will be attending the formal function where Raj Kapoor Award for Excellence in Cinema will be organized.

On 15th February, Kareena and Karisma will be hosting Randhir’s birthday bash at Devnar House, Chembur. While Rishi, Neetu, Rima Jain, Rajiv Kapoor, and Krishna Raj Kapoor are likely to be present at the party, nephew Ranbir will be missing from the bash as he is shooting for his upcoming film in Bulgaria. Also, son-in-law Saif Ali Khan is likely to be present at the gathering.
