The 2016 hit film Happy Bhag Jayegi is back with its sequel Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi and the trailer is out. While actors like Jimmy Shergill, Piyush Mishra, and Ali Zafar have reprised their respective roles, Sonakshi Sinha and Punjabi actor-cum-singer Jassi Gill have been added to the sequel. However, Abhay Deol is nowhere to be seen in the trailer.
Considering that the first part of the movie was appreciated for its fresh concept and hilarious performances, hopefully, this one is also going to be a laughter riot. The three-minute long trailer promises a funny movie where there is chaos and confusion molded into a comic presentation.
While Sonakshi can be seen making weird faces throughout the trailer and yells in a Punjabi accent, the Urdu Shayari of Piyush Mishra and Jimmy Shergill’s “broken English” steal the show. And just when you are expecting that the sequel doesn’t revive its original “Happy”, you will see a glimpse of Diana in the trailer.
The story and star cast is certainly bigger this time but it’s difficult to say whether it’s going to be better than its predecessor. This time the story takes place in China instead of Pakistan but there’s an added twist of Chinese goon with names that sound funny only if you know how to curse in Hindi.
