Haryana BJP Women’s Cell Chief, Nirmal Bairagi was recently attending a press conference where when asked by a reporter why the graph of rapes has gone up over the last two years in the state, she said that rape has been there ever since the earth was created. Haryana BJP Women’s Cell Chief’s Offensive Rape Comment isn’t something that have been said. She says, “Incidents of rape were there ever since the creation of earth.” Such a comment from the Chief of Women’s Cell is highly obnoxious and not acceptable. She was also asked about the progress in the recent Rohtak incident where an innocent Dalit was gang raped by 5 people in a repeat offence and the status of police investigation in the case.
Bairagi claimed that the state police and the government are very serious about such issues in the state and all the required and necessary steps are being taken in order to nab the culprits. She also told that most of the accused have already been clutched and are in policy custody. She further informed that to curb such cases and incidents in the state, she has taken many steps. She along with the Women Cell’s team is going to various districts to collect feedback and information from the women and several active workers.
