Heritage Renovation enhances the beauty of Rajasthan

Almost 3 years back, Smt. Vasundhara Raje took the oath as a Chief Minister of Rajasthan with her cabinet. Since then, she and her team are working day-night to evolve Rajasthan into a brighter and prosperous state. After she became the Chief Minister, a lot of emphases have been laid to preserve the long forgotten heritage. According to CM, it is very significant to identify and conserve the culture of Rajasthan and renovate the forts and palaces as favored tourist destinations. She made sure that it becomes the topmost priority of the culture ministry to inherit professionalism for managing cultural resources and heritage buildings. She asserted that the funds should nowhere become a constraint for this.

The archaeological treasures of this state are worth conserving so that it could be passed into the rightful hands of the future generations in a perfect shape. The rapid pace of renovation of historical places under the guidance of Vasundhara Raje is worth praising. She is a visionary CM of Rajasthan and has also introduced various schemes and projects in different sectors of Rajasthan, may it be BHAMASHAH for women empowerment, Rajshree Yojna for grooming of girl child by imparting them financial security and educational support, etc. She also initiated Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyaan (MJSA) for solving the water issue of this desert state.

When we think of heritage, it includes all the tangible and intangible, cultural and natural, and documentary assets of the place inherited from the ancestors to be transmitted to future generations. All the cultural heritage sites including museums and libraries are being preserved by the Rajasthan Government. In this process, a lot of work has already been done in the districts of Bharatpur, Jhalawar, Jaipur, etc.

Some of the historical attractions of these cities were in bad conditions due to the negligence of previous Governments. It was significant to restore and renovate the places so that they can regain their historical glory. Some of the sites experiencing such renovation work initiated by the Raje Government are:

  • WEIR FORT, BHARATPUR

The efforts of preserving cultural heritage have gained momentum after the directions of CM. She looks at the significance they hold for the state’s economic development through tourism. The essence of this renovation project is to keep the state’s natural, cultural and ancient heritage in an intact form. They contain the heritage of humanity and various artistic achievements of our ancestors. There is no doubt that the preservation and conservation of Rajasthan’s cultural heritage is very important to keep the essence of our history to witness of who we are and where we have come from. It is a nourishing social cohesion, a sense of self, of belonging, and of place in a context within which to understand the past and to contemplate the future. Raje Government is now strengthening the commitment to the protection of the monuments and rich cultural heritage which is a part of the glorious history of our country. The steps of Raje Government are raising awareness among the people and it now becomes the duty of every citizen of Rajasthan to take care of state’s heritage sites.
