Herve Falcini Ready to ‘Cooperate’ with Indian Agencies on Black Money Probe

Whistle-blower Herve Falciani has indicated to ‘Cooperate’ with Investigating agencies of India in the Black Money probe, but the Franco-Italian system engineer has asked of ‘Protection’ against the help. The HSBC whistle-blower, Herve claims that millions of illegitimate funds are flowing out of India.

Herve is a whistle-blower since 2009, has been collaborating with several European nations for providing and illegally selling stolen information. He is currently facing charges of leaking information of account holders in Geneva branch of HSBC bank in Switzerland. This list was taken in the custody of French Government and was later shared with India, relating to details of Indian clients of bank.

Falciani interacting with international media professional through Skype, claimed that millions of illicit funds are moving out of India, he further added “It is not about money. I don’t intent to become rich,” when was asked about the purpose for extending the help is monetary gain.

“We are not here to talk about merely figures but about possible solutions,” Falciani said.

Falciani emphasized that governments must guarantee that whistleblowers are safeguarded. “We need just simple protection,” he added.

“We are not protected… If I am coming to India, I will be arrested,” he said, adding that people need to understand that there is no offer of new kind to fight black money.
