OnePlus has been coming up with irresistible range of phones in whole 2016 and now is intending to manufacture the OnePlus 3T to cater to the high demands of India. Vikas Agarwal (OnePlus genaral) said that, phone manufacturing procedure will take place in coming quarter as the Indian market is one of the vital and priority market for them. They are planning discrete sales and marketing strategy for them.
India is a major contributor to OnePlus’s worldwide sales and makes one-third part of the global sales. They received more than 2 lakh registrations for the phone. Currently, OnePlus has to import the products to India and the very recent decision will help them to curb the supply constraints.
Because of lack in availability of phones, as per Agarwal, OnePlus has missed over 30 percent sales. Till now, OnePlus has not stretched its span to different manufacturers and suppliers. The company is planning to fix an experience center in silicon valley (Bangalore) of India in early 2017. These experience center will allow potential buyers to go and buy the OnePlus products.
China’s OnePlus is on its way to becoming biggest smartphone giant in the world. Also, by IDC, the company OnePlus has been ranked as number third on the list of premium phone seller after Samsung and Oppo of China.
Vikas Agarwal said it like, ” We actually probably have lost, I would say, maybe 30% of sales because of stock-outs”. Further he said, “The focus is on trying our best to meet the demand.”
OnePlus is likely to work with many partners which also includes Foxconn.
As per Agarwal’s remarks OnePlus has no plans to directly sell the product at retail outlets and will rely on Amazon only for the sale of its products. However the customers can have a look at physical appearance of the phone at OnePlus experience center.
