The Huawei Honor 8 smartphone is soon going to launch in India, which is a China based company, is all set to launch in India in just a couple of weeks from now. It is rumored that Honor 8 is similar to the Company’s flagship model Honor P9, which was launched in India only a few months ago and features the same dual-camera technology in the model. Huawei Honor 8 was being showcased to selected media at a special preview session at Goa and soon the company will launch its first “Made in India” phone. Huawei has confirmed that its dual-camera based Honor 8 smartphone will launch in India in the coming weeks and the smartphone offers a dual-camera setup which is very similar to its flagship P9 sans the Leica optics.

Huawei Honor 8 is a successor of Honor 7 and the onus of the company is again on camera as the previous model also featured a great photographic camera and so is expected from the dual camera of Honor 8. Huawei Honor 8 is a 7.5mm thick smartphone that weighs 153 grams. The smartphone features a non-removable battery and will be available in three colors namely Black, Blue and White.

As far as the processor is concerned, like the flagship P9, Honor 8 is also powered by company’s very own Hisilicon Kirin processor. The smartphone comes with a Kirin 950 processor, which is a slightly slower processor than 955 found in P9. It has inbuilt 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.

When we talk about the screen size, Huawei Honor 8 features a huge 5.2-inch full HD display with 96 per cent NTSC colors and a contrast ratio of 1500:1. It offers dual 12MP camera similar to P9 and both the cameras feature f/2.2 aperture and support 1080p video recording. But that’s not it, the phone also features an 8MP front camera for modes like delayed shooting and panoramic selfie.

This smartphone is a dual SIM phone and supports 4G LTE bands along with a power packed 3000mAh battery. The other features of the phone are a fingerprint scanner placed on the rear cover, and fast charging. The launch of Honor 8 will give a celebration cause to the company as the Chinese giant completes its two years of market presence in India.

“India is a crucial market for Huawei…  The company will be strengthening its after sales services in India with over 200 service centres, including more than 30 exclusive Huawei service centres in India. Huawei Consumer Business Group will also expand its distribution network by partnering with more than 50,000 retail outlets by the end of 2016,” said a Huawei spokesperson. “The company will also manufacture the first ‘Make in India’ Honor smartphones model starting the first week of October 2016.”
