IAF AN 32 still missing. Search operations on for more than 27 hours

The search for the missing IAF AN 32 is still in progress since the aircraft with 29 people on-board has not been located. Till now it has been more than 27 hours and the aircraft which got lost yesterday 16 mins after its take off, is still being searched by various military search and rescue operations. The target area of the search is Bay of Bengal as the flight route hovered through this water body. Time has come that Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar had to reach Tambaram Airport in Chennai from where the flight of AN 32 started.

Parrikar, with the Air force, went on an aerial survey all across the route of AN 32 and where the search and rescue operations taking place at the moment. According to his instructions the families of all the people boarded on the plane are to be informed with every little clue possible.

Anupam Banerjee, the Wing Commander and Public Relations Officer stated to the media, “The search is going on. If there is any substantial development it will be made known.”

At present, 13 Indian Navy Ships, 4 Coast Guard Ships, 2 PI 8 surveillance air crafts, 2 Donier, 1 AN 32, 2 C-130 Hercules and Mi -17 V5 are busy finding any sort of clue about the missing plane. Other than this one submarine has been sent to fetch transmission under the sea level as any plane crash turns on the emergency locator beacons for the rescue team to work.
