The dreaded incident of Alwar lynching case which had gripped the entire cattle transporting community has it’s after-math still lingering in the state. A group of unidentified people started blackmailing many cattle transporters in wake of intense fear and fright amongst the community. People are posing as cow vigilantes to effect violence against cattle transporters. The government has taken a stock the situation and doing the needful to mitigate the menace.

The Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje expressed her intent towards putting the case on rest. CM Raje asserted that none of the offenders will be spared.  She also added that such nuisance would not be tolerated in the state. “Such incidents would not be tolerated in Rajasthan. Seven people have been arrested and further appropriate action will be taken on the basis of facts that will emerge after investigation,” Raje said on Tuesday in the state assembly premises.

“None of the culprits will be allowed to get away,” she claimed.  Pehlu Khan, a 55-year old cattle-trader was beaten by cow-vigilantes on his way to Haryana. Khan was caught on the Behror road, while he was ferrying cattle from Ramgarh to Haryana on April 1.

Soon, Khan was rushed to the hospital after which doctors announced him dead. After Khan was declared dead, an outrage swept across the state.

The incident was made a reason of communal frenzy which was initiated by the opposition party, Congress. The opportunist leaders raised the matter recently at the assembly session, when Rameshwar Dudi slammed Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria for not taking correct action against the offenders. In response, Kataria explained that Pehlu had three cases pending against him.

With regard to controversial comments made on Bhimrao Ambedkar, Raje expressed her opinion clearly. She said that her party’s stand is clear about Ambedkar that he was the architect of the Constitution. She also said that Ambedkar is a respectable ideal for all.
