The income tax (I-T) department has launched a mobile app named Aaykar Setu for rescuing all those who find it difficult to file tax returns or other tax related matters. ‘Aaykar Setu’ is your Go-To-Guide for all your tax needs.
What is Aaykar Setu?
Launched by Central Board of Direct Taxes, the app is developed to help tax payers in filing Income tax returns (ITR) and paying tax on the go. Aaykar Setu also helps in locating the nearest Tax Return Preparer (TRP).
This is not all. The app provides tools which help in managing PAN and TDS details.

This is a very important step forward by the CBDT and the principal reason being technology as a very powerful tool becomes an enabler,” Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said.
The app will help people to discharge most of their tax without any external help, and in the comfort of your home,” FM Jaitley added.
How to download ‘Aaykar Setu’ app?
One can download the app directly from the “Google Play Store” on Android phones. Additionally, the app can be downloaded by giving a missed call on 7306525252.

- The app offers a live chat facility named ‘Chatbot’ which will be available from 10 am to 6 pm.

The app will entail another section names as ‘TaxGyaan’. This is a collection of multiple choice questions which will provide tax related knowledge to youths and all alike.
