It is a great achievement for India to win ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup for the fourth time. It was final today against Australia in New Zealand and it was very easy win for the team India. Australian cricket team has given the record of 217 runs in 47.2 overs.

As Australia won the toss and chose batting first so India was under pressure. Australia has played his part and could have done better big but they lost six wickets for just 33 runs in a span of eight overs. Jonathan Merlo was the star with 76 but he received very little support from the rest of the batting order.

It was India’s turn. Prithvi Shaw and Manjot Kalra were the opening batsmen and had shown no sign of nervousness. Kalra scoring a century in the run chase while Prithvi(29), Shubman Gill(30) and Harvik(47*). Manjot Kalra is Man of the Match of the final while Prithvi Shaw finished as the top run-scoring Indian captain of the tournament.

Team India Under 19 coach Rahul Dravid said, “Hopefully it’s a memory they will cherish for a long, long time, but hopefully it’s not a memory that defines them and they have more bigger and better memories that define them in their careers.”

Both India and Australia are good teams. India holds three titles of Junior World Cup by winning in 2002, 2008 and 2012. Winning the fourth title is a proud for India.
