India’s maiden ‘Festival of Education’: Game Changer for future education prospects in this State

The two-day Festival of Education organized at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre ended on a high note on August 6, marking an unprecedented revolution in the Rajasthan Education department and its dynamics. The education sector in Rajasthan is all set to touch unbelievable heights given the recent collaborations with major organizations fructify.

With the Desert state progressing in various realms of development and innovation, the British Council too got attracted to the developmental saga followed in by Rajasthan. It has come forward to assist the Rajasthan government in transforming the state into a higher education hub.

Rajasthan Education Department has joined hands with UAE for a world-class education. The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development of the UAE has voiced a strategic multi-level partnership with the Rajasthan education department.

Chief Minister ‘Vidya Daan Fund’ collected a sum of Rs 5 crore, which would be utilized towards children’s education across the state. ‘Chief Minister Vidya Daan Fund’ is a CSR initiative and is backed by an Android app. The app was launched on the first day of the event. The app can be downloaded from PlayStore and start contributing towards children’s education in Rajasthan.

What is the Role of British Council?

The British Council will strategize a proper program that will ensure all round development of the children; make them employable. The Council will help students from government schools and colleges in English speaking.

Bollywood and world-renowned singer, Shankar Mahadevan also expressed his massive interest in opening up his first Music Academy in Rajasthan.

The event was graced by various dignitaries like Union Ministers Prakash Javadekar and Rajiv Pratap Rudy, film actors Akshay Kumar, Sushmita Sen and Divya Dutta.

Rural schools located in the remotest areas of the state will be provided with air-conditioners via support from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom.

Bharat Thakur, another legend who had graced the Festival Of Education 2017 expressed his desire to contribute towards the Yoga University in Rajasthan.
