September is here, and it is going to be bigger than any of us expected. The next few days are not going to be less than a festival for the mobile users and the smartphone market will soon see a fresh round of battle between Samsung and Apple.

The much-awaited Apple iPhone 8 launch on September 12, the same date when Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will make its grand entry to the Indian market.

Wait for the iPhone 8 is almost over with Apple expected to reveal it at the event tomorrow. With the iPhone celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Apple is expected to pull out all of the stops for its next generation device. Some media reports have claimed that the phone might be named iPhone Special Edition or iPhone X.

Rumours are rife that the iPhone 8 will feature a stunning new design, The iPhone 8 could be the first Apple device to include an edge-to-edge display with the screen covering almost the entire front of the device. Upgraded processor, new dual-lens camera and a glass finish will all add to its appeal.

Apple is also thought to be including wireless charging which will means the device can be charged without going near a plug.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is set to make its India debut on September 12 and will give a tough fight to Apple. Galaxy Note 8 which is priced at $930 in the US, is likely to cost you somewhere around Rs 70,000 in India. According to a report from IANS, over 2.5 lakh people in India have registered for the Galaxy Note 8. The report said nearly 1.5 lakh people have registered the device on Amazon India.

The Galaxy Note 8 features a dual-camera setup, similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. It will be interesting to see if the 64GB and 128GB storage variants are both launched together. It features 12MP cameras on the back and promising 2X optical zoom. The other interesting thing about the Galaxy Note 8 is the 3300mAh battery, which is much smaller than the 3500 battery on the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 runs Android 7.1 Nougat and will be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo later this year. The S Pen stylus has long been a signature feature of the Note brand.
