Jaipur to Gurgaon Now in 120 Minutes by Road

Rajasthan Government’s Ambitious Delhi-Jaipur Expressway Project Sets the Bar High in Infrastructure & Connectivity…

NH48 connecting Delhi to Jaipur by road is probably one of the busiest national highways of the country that experience dense traffic on a daily basis. The reason? Many businessmen, professionals, truck operators and students travel along the 282-km-long highway for work, travel or business purposes. On an average, a one-way trip between the cities takes around 4 to 5 hours by road. To our joy, this won’t happen anymore. Just recently, Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje has granted approval for the 195 km Jaipur-Delhi Expressway that will cut short travel time for road travelers.

On his visit to Dausa in March, union minister Nitin Gadkari specifically requested Rajasthan government to initiate the process of land acquisition for their multi-million highway project. This Thursday, the state government gave this project a green signal—as informed by Gadkari in the Lok Sabha session.

Now the PWD officers are officially braced up to initiate this project as soon as possible. As soon as the center provides them with a road-map for this project, the state government will issue a formal letter for land allotment. Out of the total 1,755 hectares required for the project, 1.22 hectare falls under reserve forest area, 38 hectares is protected forest and about 360.65 hectares belongs to the government whereas rest of it is either waste land or private property.

The successful completion of this project will boost trade and travel activities within the state, thus boosting overall economy of Rajasthan and Delhi.

The current PWD minister Yunus Khan informed the media that the government will go through the pros and cons of land acquisition term. It’ll take around 12 to 18 months to initiate the project on ground. The state will have to shift the resident wildlife to a more suitable region and talk to land owners regarding acquisition before they finalize the terms and conditions for the project.

Just recently, the NHAI officers from Gurgaon have completed the initial inspection process to fix issues appearing in Alwar. The engineers and architects involved in the project are excited about its outcomes. According to them, this new expressway will pass through 423 villages in Jaipur, Sikar, Alwar, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Jhajjar and Gurgaon, thus ensuring better road connectivity.
