The long-lost delicacies from the Persian court beckon foodies to Jaipur’s signature Indo-Persian restaurant ‘Zarin’ that promises authentic flavours of Iran, originated in the royal courtyards a couple of centuries ago. The much-anticipated Jaipur food festival kicked off on March 20th to honour the onset of spring.

For those who don’t know, the Central Asian and Middle Eastern communities observe the vernal equinox as Nowruz, which commemorates the revival of nature. The festivities last for two weeks, wherein Persians relish in the forgotten culinary gems. Luckily, the Jaipurites needn’t fly overseas to enjoy the unusual tastes of the Middle East.
