It was a sports field in Arin Bandipora district. After this video, Jammu and Kashmir police had arrested four local cricket players.

This video got viral on social media. The video shows two cricket teams in which one has worn green while another was in white. Pakistan’s national anthem ‘Pak Sarzameen’ was played in the background and the players bowed their heads on hearing anthem.

As the news came in to knowledge of officials of Kashmir, the local filed a case against the two teams under section 13 of RPC. The police also arrested few and further investigation was initiated to identify the organizers and other players. It is a big concern of the police that the video was of a recent match or a morphed one.

It is not the first time this incident happened with national anthem. There are several instances when the Pakistan national anthem was played during cricket matches in the Valley. There was also an instance when students refused to stand up at the time of Indian National anthem. These all incidents show lack of respect to nation and national anthem. Well… there is always a need for making youth understand the value of national anthem.
