Government Secondary Schools in Jodhpur Receives Water Purifies and Coolers, New Furniture, 11 Computer Labs and Free Wi-Fi due to Public Contribution.
Two years ago, a small government secondary school based in Maderna Colony, Jodhpur was devoid of basic necessities like furniture and safe drinking water. However, in a span of just two years, the efforts of real-life Bhamashahs transformed the fate of this school. Chandan Singh, the principal of this educational institution is the man behind this massive success.
Anything Is Possible If We Make a Collective Effort and Chandan Singh Proves It
Most of the pupils enrolled in this small school belonged to lower sections of the society, mainly scheduled castes and labour classes. Due to shortage of funds, the parents were compelled to send their kids to a school that lacked basic facilities such as light and desks. Seeing the pathetic condition of this establishment, Principal Chandan Singh was determined to bring the change.
He approached a few esteemed members of the society for help. Lady luck seemed to smile on Singh and help started pouring in from all directions as funds and resources. After two long years, the school includes water purifiers and coolers, fans, podiums for delivering lectures, microphones, free Wi-Fi and flower pots. There are 11 computer labs for children to access internet. Moreover MP Gajendra Singh used government allotted funds in his account to buy furniture for classrooms.
The classrooms are orderly and well-groomed now. Most of the rooms are named after inspirational women. Rooms carry a bulletin board highlighting their precise biography and achievements displayed outside to inspire students. Not only this, all the students enrolled in High School have scored more than 80% in 2015-2016 Class X Board Examination. Seeing the glorious results of school children, the school has received 133 new enrolments in this session. Despite 15 private schools present in the neighbouring regions, parents are willing to enrol their kids in a government school, which is a huge success in itself.
Amidst border firing, political dramas and social hostilities, incidents like these restore our faith in humanity and make us realize that humanity still exists in this world.
