The versatile Bollywood actress Kajol in her recent interview said that the national channel Doordashan has lost its glory over the period of time and efforts shall be done to bring it back. Doordarshan is undoubtedly one of the most watched channels throughout the country. In the earlier times when there were no cable connections or the dish connections it was the only channel that not only informed people throughout the country about the events that were happening but also entertained them.
To keep the essence of the channel continued and to bring back its lost glory, the Dilwale actress, Kajol has taken a step forward. The actress has recently been elected as the part-time member of the Prasar Bharti Board. Prasar Bharti Board is responsible for running the public broadcasters Doordarshan and All India Radio.
She lately attended a meeting of Prasar Bharti Board where in an interview she said that she would work towards reviving the lost and old glory of Doordarshan. This was the first time ever that she has attended a Prasar Bharti Board meeting ever since she has been elected as a part-time member of the board. The channel’s official twitter handle posted, “I will work towards reviving the old glory of Doordarshan: Kajol”

Well, it would be interesting to see how and what initiative steps she will further take to bring back the lost glory of a channel which was one’s everyone’s favourite.
